Vogue (LP)

Jacket EX / LP EX / German pressing

This beautiful LP from Vogue (LDKS 18005, LP pressed in Germany (heavy vinyl) / jacket printed in France, pink/white label, stereo, glossy laminated flipback jacket) features the Versailles Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Bernar Wahl in an enchanting Baroque music program pairing works by Stölzel and Telemann.

The exact contents are as follows:

Gottfried-Heinrich Stoelzel:

            Concerto Grosso for String Quartet

Georg-Philipp Telemann:

Concerto for Three Trumpets, Two Oboes, Strings, and Harpsichord

            > with soloists Roger Delmotte (trumpet) and Rene Daraux (oboe)

Suite in A minor for Chamber Orchestra

These are wondefully stylish performances that should be far better known, as should the now forgotten Vogue label, which boasts immaculate production standards.

There are fine liner notes (uncredited) on the reverse side of the jacket, printed in German only. The striking cover art was executed by J. Mawart.

CONDITION:

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The condition of the jacket is EXCELLENT. The only flaw preventing a NM grading concerns a small crush/crease to the upper-right corner. Otherwise, the album appears almost as new – a solid, bright, glossy, and highly attractive collector's copy.

The condition of the LP itself is EXCELLENT. The only flaw barring a NM grading concerns a 1” segment towards the close of Telemann’s Concerto for Three Trumpets that is afflicted with crackling surface noise. Otherwise, the surfaces are superb. Overall, this is an excellent collector’s copy.
