$15.00 USD
Jacket EX / LP EX
This lovely LP – a fine collector’s copy – from Erato (STE 50226, French pressing, white/pink label – ED1, stereo, laminated flipback jacket) entitled “récital Jean-Pierre Rampal · Lily Laskine” features the two great soloists in an enchanting album of works for flute and harp, warmly recorded at the Studio Hoche, Paris, in June 1964 (producer: Daniel Madeleine).
Their exact program is as follows:
Traditional: Greensleeves
Johann Baptist Krumpholz: Sonata for Flute and Harp in F Major
Gioacchino Rossini: Introduction and Variations for Flute and Harp
Gabriel Fauré: Berceuse Op. 16
Jacques Ibert: Entr’acte for Flute and Harp
Jean-Michel Damase: Sonata for Flute and Harp
Incidentally, the lovely cover photo was taken by Sousse Ohana. There are superlative liner notes on the reverse side of the jacket by Marc Vignal, printed in French only.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is EXCELLENT. There is minor bumping at the two lower corners, as well as minor creasing and faint shelfwear, but that is all. There are no owners' markings, bends, seamsplits, or other defects, and the whole remains solid, bright, glossy, and highly attractive – overall, this rates as an excellent collector's copy.
The condition of the LP itself is EXCELLENT. Although the surfaces are not absolutely silent, this is a fine copy and the playback is quite superb. Those requiring flawless or NM surfaces are kindly advised to look elsewhere. Overall, this rates as an excellent collector's copy.
