London (LP)

Jacket EX / LP EX / LP pressed in the UK - jacket printed in the USA

This outstanding and handsome LP from London (LL-1060, English pressing, red/gold FFRR label, mono – no stereo edition exists) features Ernest Ansermet and l'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in magically evocative performances of Glazunov's Stenka Razin · Symphonic Poem Op. 13 and Rimsky-Korsakov's Antar · Symphonic Suite Op. 9, both taped in the fabled acoustics of Geneva's Victoria Hall in June 1954.

CONDITION:

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The condition of the jacket is EXCELLENT. There is minor bumping at corners, as well as some mild discoloration (more so to the rear panel). However, there are no seamsplits, bends, owners' markings, or other defects and the album remains solid, bright, and very striking in appearance – overall, an excellent collector's copy.

The condition of the LP itself is EXCELLENT. Although the surfaces are not perfectly silent, really this is a fine copy and playback is superb, close to NM. If you must have a flawless or NM copy, then please do not buy this LP. Overall, rates as an excellent collector's copy.
