This superb 3 LP box set – a fine collector’s copy – from Harmonia Mundi (DHL 20401.03, French pressing, black/silver label, stereo, 4-page booklet included) features Sigiswald Kuijken’s masterly traversal of Johann Sebastian Bach's Partitas and Partitas for Solo Violin BWV 1001-1006, recorded in the warm acoustics of the Artímino Villa dei Medici in December 1981 (production team: Dr. Thomas Gallia, Paul Dery, and Monika Werner). Kuijken plays a Giovanni Grancino Violin, made in Milan circa 1700.
