Pierre Barbizet: Beethoven Piano Sonatas No. 7 & No. 28 - BAM 500.075
$5.00 USD
Jacket GOOD / LP VG / French pressing
This elusive LP from Boîte à Musique · BAM (500.075, French pressing, black/silver label, stereo) features the splendid Pierre Barbizet, a pianist highly regarded by Sviatoslav Richter, in sterling performances of Beethoven’s Piano Sonatas No. 7 in D Major Op. 10 No. 3 and No. 28 in A Major Op. 101, recorded in the early 1960s. Barbizet is an artist whose recorded legacy is richly deserving of systematic re-issue and renewed appreciation on disc.
There are fine liner notes on the reverse side of the jacket by Antoine Golea, printed in French and English. The cover design is uncredited.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is GOOD. There is slight edgewear, discoloration, and bumping at corners. However, there are no seamsplits, bends, owners' markings, or other defects, and the album remains solid and presentation worthy – overall, still a decent copy.
The condition of the LP itself is VERY GOOD. Though there is light surface noise and an occasional tic, in general the playback is quite fine. However, those wanting a flawless, NM, or even excellent copy are kindly advised to look elsewhere. In all, this is still a decent copy.
